Stopcocks Women Plumbers
We're following these guidelines in the homes of our customers in England to keep you, our engineers and our other customers safe. In Wales and Scotland only emergencies will be attended. Both of these instances may mean a postponement of your appointment unless it is a genuine emergency - that is, no heat, no hot water, no water, a gas or water leak.

They will wash their hands before leaving your home to help protect themselves and their next customer. In addition, we request that you ventilate the area for 15 minutes before they are due to arrive by opening windows or doors and that you fully ventilate it again after they leave. Our mission is to connect fully trained, highly competent female plumbers with those requiring their services throughout the U.K.

There are moments in your life when you make a decision fairly casually and then later look back and get to say "thank GOD I did so and so." or "what if we hadn't." Finding your company is SO one of those moments. You sent us Debbie (as you know!) who could not have been sweeter, more committed to solving our problem or more wonderful than if you'd sent baby Jesus.
Services
When Hattie Hasan started Stopcocks in 1990 its central pillars were respect, peace of mind, quality service and aftercare.
We believed then (and still do) that you, your home and your time deserve respect and the highest quality services.
Customers deserve better than the treatment we know they traditionally receive from plumbers and other tradespeople.
By standing for quality customer service we aim to change the culture of the manual trades, especially of traders who come into your sanctuary, your home.
From designing and installing a new bathroom through to helping with plumbing maintenance work.
All our plumbers/heating engineers are fully trained* and continue to receive our unique training in customer service as well as system design and fault diagnosis.
No training of this nature is delivered elsewhere within the industry.
We meet all your plumbing needs from leaking pipes through creating hot water and a warm house to designing and installing your dream bathroom.
If women aren't well represented - at every level, in your business you're missing out on our insights into the market.
Are you a business who wants to increase your productivity, reach ALL your customers and ultimately improve your bottom line by having a more representative workforce?
Are you seriously concerned about the shrinking workforce in the construction and maintenance sector and keen to attract 'new blood' at the same time as making your business more attractive to highly committed recruits?
We're committed to improving access and conditions for women plumbers and within the industry as a whole and look forward to meeting and joining with plumbers, gas engineers and businesses who share our vision.
You can meet other women plumbers, heating engineers and trainees all year in our friendly and supportive Facebook Group - Female Plumbers and Heating Engineers.
Stopcocks founder Hattie Hasan MBE is always the first port of call whenever anyone wants to know what's going on with women in plumbing and heating, in fact she was awarded an MBE in the 2020 New Year's Honours list for her services to women in the industry.
Watch her interview with London Live TV here.
You can listen to that here.
We had a veritable flurry of radio 'appearances'; early 2019 Hattie featured in The Conversation on the BBC World Service talking to New York woman plumber Judaline Cassidy, listen here.
